The sun was shining on that fateful day. Princess Zelda had gone out for her daily ride on one of her horses. She always made certain to wear her cloak, in constant mourning over the loss of her husband. She had not shown her face to the public for hundreds of years. And yet, peace remained since then.
The threat of Ganondorf had long since passed, the Gerudos had finally returned to their home in the desert nearby and made sure of that. Then after that problem had been dealt with, they with the help of Zelda, made contact with the realm of Twilight. In doing so, Zelda and Midna spoke, and finally reopened the portal to the Twilight Realm un
It had been 4 years since that fateful day. Hartanna's childhood home was long gone by now. Somewhere between a distant memory, and a painful fact that it still stood and thrived. But to her, for the time being, it was something she could put behind herself until she was better equipped for going back.
Hartanna was instead, living off of what she found in the woods. Even if that meant stealing from unsuspecting campers or hunters in order to make what she needed. This forest, after all, is where she had been calling home for two years. It had practically everything she needed. It was located at the base of a mountainside, so during the summe
The angel within the ice warmed up to the boy eventually. Suddenly the icce around her melted, freeing her for the first time in centuries. She stood, letting her bare feet touch the soft wet grass beneath them. The boy stared silently, to him it was as if the ice had suddenly melted away within a couple of seconds.
And now that he saw her, he couldn't stop staring at her wings. They were so warm and inviting, if only he had them for his own. He'd be able to fly with them and touch the heavens and fly to wherever he pleased. He stepped forward, reaching his right hand out to her.
The angel turned and faced him. She smiled and extended her l
After what seemed like years, the angel within the ice was beginning to thaw. One young man sat on a rock near by, talking to her about anything and everything that he did with his life. For a while he wasn't sure if what he was saying was getting through to this beautiful woman frozen in time.
But as time moved on, he noticed some of the color was coming back to her face. With each passing day, some of the ice would melt away very slowly. The boy would come back after his job in the morning, and stay till the moon was high in the sky. As he would talk, every once in a while the angel would open here eyes and silently watch and listen to him
Now healed, the angel was frozen in ice within her forest. The unicorn kept the peace as if nothing had changed, all around the forest was warm, the mountains ever treacherous to try and climb. Once in a while a hunter would make it in and leave with a deer or two, but that was all.
It was as if the angel herself had disappeared entirely, but this just wasn't the case. Any who came seeking her, would be unable to pass the icy mountains, those who simply were out exploring the surrounding lands and the mountains themselves could pass with no problem. Whispers of a unicorn living in the mountains had many people come looking, but with no luck.
